Volunteer Information

We Couldn’t Do it Without You!

We welcome members of our community to come to our campus and support McKinley by volunteering in various ways.  Here is the application process:

Level B

-If you are a level B volunteer from the previous year, and your TB has not expired, you will need to complete a level B application, and we can verify your TB status. 

If you are new to McKinley, you will need to complete an application and submit to the front office, you will need all of the following:

1. An application for this school year. Volunteer Application
2. TB proof or a signed/completed TB risk assessment form.
3. Clearance on Megan's law database (will be completed by the front office when you submit).
4. A copy of your driver’s license or valid government id.

Processing times are 5-7 days for new volunteers.

Level D

-If you are planning to Chaperone on a field trip, you must complete the Level D application each year, we recommend that if you have not done this process before you check in with the front office on how to best complete the steps. 

1. An application for this school year.
2. TB proof or a signed/completed TB risk assessment form.
3. Clearance on Megan's law database (will be completed by the front office when you submit).
4. A copy of your driver’s license or valid government id.
5. Livescan clearance through Department of Justice

Volunteer opportunities will come directly from teachers in the classroom and via the McKinley PTC.  Lunch time is another area that always needs volunteers, once you are cleared you can come to support any day during the lunch periods.  There will be copies of all of the applications in the McKinley front office as well.
